WLC’s faculty, staff, and coaches have humbly served and left a lasting impact on the lives of their students. This year has been unique in that WLC professor Dr. Ron Buelow was called to his eternal home. In addition, Dr. Bob Anderson, Prof. Mary Heins, and Dr. Joyce Natzke, who combined have served WLC for nearly 100 years, have announced their retirements at the end of this academic year.
This news has touched many Warriors, leaving one alum to ask, “Do our faculty, staff, and coaches really know how much they mean to us?” In an effort to ensure our beloved mentors are aware of their impact, this WLC graduate has agreed to match the first $10,000 donated to WLC by alumni this spring as an encouragement for alumni to show their appreciation.
We all remember show and tell in kindergarten. Well, dust off your favorite stories, because it’s time to share them! Tell your favorite WLC professor, coach, or staff member how much they impacted your life! Your comments will be passed along to those who are still serving at WLC. We’ll do our best to also pass your messages on to those who have retired or with the families of those faculty or staff who are now in heaven.
At the same time, show your appreciation by making a gift in honor or memory of your favorite WLC faculty, staff, or coach. Your donation not only reflects the impact your alma mater has had on your life, but will also allow the next generation of Christian leaders to experience the same. The first $10,000 donated will be matched by a WLC alumnus.
We hope to share some of your stories in the college’s magazine, on social media, or in special videos. Don't delay or miss this opportunity to show and tell! The deadline to participate is June 30.
